humor contest was just a joke, i posted what i thought was a pretty funny joke about alakazam’s “kemonomimi/furry” distinction on his backloggery page and he responded with a post on my page saying that I’m not funny. So I called you in as an impartial judge to determine if my joke was funny or not, and also jokingly challenged him to a “humor showdown at high noon”. There isn’t actually going to be a humor contest.

I think our senses of humor might have just diverged over the ~3 months where we were mad at each other and not talking. My sense of humor has always been a lot about situational stuff and making good-humored pokes at people about whatever. What Paradiso usually refers to as trolling, although it’s not trolling in the traditional sense of the word. Traditionally Alakazam has also shared that sense of humor but I haven’t really hung out with him enough yet post-settling our differences to know if that’s changed or not for him. I know he’s ditched irony stuff entirely but that’s still part of what I use in my humor as well.

Of course it’s also entirely possible that he just can’t handle people making fun of him which I guess has also been true for the decade plus I’ve known him. Who knows.
